Lee Isaac Chung, the one who directed Munyurangabo and Minari, is slated to remake Makoto Shinkai‘s Your Name. animated film Hollywood style.

According to reports, Chung will overtake the role originally assigned to Marc Webb and be responsible for rewriting and directing, while production company Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams, Paramount Pictures, and Toho will produce the live-action adaptation of the Japanese animated romantic fantasy drama. Reports are also noting that Chung will be working off a draft by Emily V. Gordon and a script was originally prepared by Arrival screenwriter Eric Heisserer.

No news on when the Hollywood live-action adaptation will hit the screens yet.
