Tekashi 6ix9ine, currently facing a 47-year sentence, might be behind bars for less: U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman has submitted a letter yesterday to the judge overseeing Tekashi 6ix9ine’s federal racketeering and firearms case. He recommended that the besieged rapper’s sentence be reduced, in large part due to his cooperation with authorities in giving testimony against other members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

As reported by Pitchfork, Berman stated Tekashi provided the government with important information regarding the Nine Trey’s scheme, as well as helped the Government identify the gang’s most notorious members.
