Paul Wetherell teamed up with hair stylist James Pecis, creative director Kimberly Norcott, and photographer Ben Budgen to create Noodled, a photographic study of beauty inspired by nature in support of Mission Blue. The book pairs black and white portraits of youth taken by Paul Wetherell and featuring hair styling by James Pecis with vibrant moments of the ocean captured by photographer Ben Budgen, exploring the delicate parallels between the many forms created by the sea and the similar shapes and movement created by hair.

Mission Blue is an organization that inspires action to explore and protect the ocean. Founded by Dr. Sylvia Earle, her wish to ignite public support for marine protected areas, called hope spots, large enough to restore the health of the ocean—what Dr. Earle calls the blue heart of the planet. Mission Blue’s partner community includes over 200 organizations around the world working on behalf of marine conservation.
