Faroe Islands (Føroyar) is an island country comprising an archipelago of small islands between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, approximately halfway between Norway and Iceland, 320 kilometres (200 miles) north-northwest of Scotland. Belgium photographer Kevin Faignaert spent one month there and documented the remote and emptied villages, he came back with a serie simply called Føroyar.

Below a selection of pictures, visit Kevin’s website to see the full serie.
