Following Warner Bros’ announcement that its entire 2021 roster of films which spans across 17 titles will premiere on HBO Max at the same time as theatrical releases, Legendary Entertainment, one of massive blockbuster Dune’s co-financiers, is looking to take legal action against Warner Bros.

Even though Legendary has previously collaborateded with Warner Bros. on many occasions, including popular franchises such as Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, The Hangover trilogy, and the Godzilla franchise, as per Variety, a source close to the production company expressed concern over the announcement and is looking to and potentially take legal action if the negotiation fails.

Stay tuned for updates.
