Yesterday the world said goodbye to Chicago-born rapper Juice WRLD, after suffering a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport early Sunday morning, less than a week after his birthday on December 2.
“Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time,” the artist’s label, Interscope Records, said in a statement. “He was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds, an exceptional human being, and artist who loved and cared for his fans above everything else.”
The 21-year old rapper, born Jarad Anthony Higgins, enjoyed a meteoric rise within the last year after Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 single “Lucid Dreams” and No.1 album Death Race From Love earlier this year. While the investigation into his death is ongoing, some of the rapper’s fellow celebrities took to Twitter and Instagram to express their grief over the loss. RIP Juice WRLD.
