A recent addition to mobile streaming services, Disney+ is saw great success at its launch, amassing 3 million downloads on the first day, and according to Apptopia, the app was continuously ranked No.1 in the App Store and Google Play, since the day of the launch on November 12, through December 10, having an average of 9.5 million active mobile users per day—the app had been downloaded 22 million times throughout that period.

The success mainly owes to the combination of a quite affordable monthly subscription (just at $6.99; the Hulu and ESPN+ bundle at $12.99) and effective marketing strategies, but still proves not impactful to its competitors, like behemoth Netflix, HBO Now, and Amazon Prime.
