Legendary filmmaker David Lynch has been signed to write and direct a new Netflix series titled Wisteria. The project will be a limited episodic series — more information to be revealed soon.

The new series follows Lynch’s strange short film WHAT DID JACK DO? which saw Lynch playing a detective who interrogates an anthropomorphized monkey. The director still uploads archival works on YouTube while periodically sharing weather reports. Filming for Wisteria is scheduled to begin in May 2021.
