As part of the Barbican Art Gallery’s exhibition about Scottish dancer and choreographer, Michael Clark titled Michael Clark: Cosmic Dancer, Jarvis Cocker’s group JARV IS… performed a series of covers, including songs by The Velvet Underground and The Fall.

Former Pulp frontman along with his band members performed a set of songs which included versions of the Velvet Underground’s “Venus in Furs,” the Fall’s “Big New Prinz,” Cocker’s own “Further Complications,” and “House Music All Night Long,” from the band‘s July debut Beyond the Pale.

In a statement about Michael Clark: Cosmic Dancer, Jarvis Cocker said, “Take a look for yourself. Walk around, and slowly it will start to dawn on you, as it did on me: Dance is the language of the human body. And nobody speaks it better than Michael Clark.”
