Wanting to focus on other important work, the iconic group is taking a year away from music and won’t release any new material until 2021, as told by the band’s drummer Phillip Selway: “There are always conversations going on, but we’ve always got other projects going on. This is kind of the year away from Radiohead, but we will pick that up again.”

Radiohead’s latest record was released back in 2016, under the name A Moon Shaped Pool. From then onwards, band members have been working on their solo projects: Thom Yorke scored Luca Guadagnino’s supernatural horror Suspiria in 2018, and released his third studio album ANIMA last year, while guitarist Ed O’Brien has been sharing tracks from his debut solo record under the moniker EOB. Not to mention multi-instrumentalist and composer Jonny Greenwood working on his orchestral stuff and launching his own classical music label in October 2019.

If you haven’t seen it, watch O’Brien video for his song “Brasil” released in December last year, featuring Radiohead bandmate Colin Greenwood on bass.
