YOUR OLD FRIEND, an exhibition by Meguru Yamaguchi, will be held in Tokyo, where the past and new works of the Japanese contemporary artist Yamaguchi, who lives in New York, will be presented. He will return to Japan for the first time in 10 years and hold public fresco production there.

The exhibition marks Yamaguchi’s return to Japan for the first time in 10 years. In this exhibition, seven new works featuring the representative brushstrokes of the Japanese artist will be exhibited and sold. The new work with large size of 2.7m x 4m is the largest exhibition in Japan ever using brass strokes, and it is a masterpiece scale work in which brush strokes are dynamically and precisely constructed.

In addition to exhibiting early works, including works produced during the preparatory school period for university entrance exams in early 2000, visitors can see the work scene up close by creating artwork directly on the venue’s wall during the exhibition period.

“YOUR OLD FRIEND” is running from October 31 until November 16.
