New space in Tokyo established by the NANZUKA gallery is an art gallery during the day and a sushi restaurant by night.

The 3110NZ by LDH Kitchen fully operates as a gallery, with cavernous walls to hang paintings, glowing lights lining the ceiling, and art displays alongside large cobblestone flooring. Interior design is by Daniel Arsham’s co-founded architecture firm, Snarkitecture. When it comes to the restaurant side, NANZUKA partnered with Sushi Saito, lauded as “the world’s best sushi restaurants” by critics and chefs with a longstanding tenure as a Michelin 3-star restaurant for the past 10 years, where a sprawling wood-based sushi bar serves as the centerpiece for the premises inside the space. The logo design is by the Sexy Robot artist and sculptor, Hajime Sorayama.

3110NZ by LDH Kitchen’s first exhibition will feature works by the influential Japanese postwar artist Keiichi Tanaami starting July 21. The gallery will mount exhibitions for roughly four to six weeks at a time.
