Following Twitter’s launch of “fleets,” the disappearing tweets feature, Spotify hops on to the stories wagon. The music streaming service has begun testing a story-like feature for select playlists, including Christmas Hits and a playlist for Megan Thee Stallion‘s Good News.
Including video clips of artists speaking on their songwriting process and other exclusive anecdotes on the music found in the playlist, the Spotify stories work in a similar swipe-through format to those on other platforms, but for now, this feature does not allow users to add stories to their own playlists.
“Some of those tests end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as an important learning. We have no further news to share on future plans at this time,” a spokesperson said in a statement to Endgadget confirming the test.
